2024 URLA Tree and Shrub Sale
It is that time of the year once again!
URLA is pleased to announce the opening of our annual shoreline restoration program, in which members can purchase seedlings and potted plants recommended by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA).
Thanks to everyone who participated last year when URLA members planted approximately 3,000 trees and shrubs. Natural lake shorelines are important to trap runoff and act as a buffer to absorb contaminants, keep lakes clean and reduce algae.
Members can now order trees and shrubs via the URLA online storefront
The deadline for orders is January 10, 2024.
As with previous years, orders will be available for pickup sometime in early May 2024.
For URLA Members, bareroot seedlings range from $3.00 to $6.00 for a bundle of ten bareroot trees or shrubs and between $12.00 and $22.00 for one or two-gallon potted trees and shrubs.
